The Cost of Care?

Lots of figures are quoted when it comes to care fees in the UK, but the recently announced reforms will be based on the rate paid by local authorities.

In 2019/20, the average cost of a local authority-funded care home place for someone aged over 65 was £679 a week.

Local authorities, on average, paid £17.48 an hour to commission externally provided home care services.
