Retirement Prospects

Scottish Widows have helped to create a new National Retirement Forecast, which looks at all the major aspects of retirement preparations. It has issued report looking at living standards which forecasts that 35% of the UK population risk having "less than the minimum needed" to pay for essential living costs when they retire.

Pete Glancy, head of policy at Scottish Widows, commented, "Our new national retirement forecast paints a stark picture - one in three of us are facing the harsh reality of a retirement where we will struggle to make ends meet.”
