Lack of Pay Progression in Care

Experienced care staff earn just 6p an hour more than those new to the role, Skills for Care has revealed.


The figure is down from 26p in 2017 and reflects providers’ inability to maintain pay differentials between staff while delivering statutory rises in the national living wage.
